THE ECHOING GREEN

Nature has played a pivotal role within most of the House’s collections and in this collection, the Creative Director and Creative Designer wanted to pay tribute to what nature meant to them: ancestry, family, DNA, grandfather and father.

A DEEP CONNECTION TO NATURE

When Maison Makarem was launched, the brand adopted the peony as a symbol; this flower holding so many personal meanings to the founders, specifically the symbolism of family, bravery and honour.

Being granddaughters of an Agricultural Engineer who was a pioneer in his field and the founder of the Lebanese Agricultural Calendar, the passion Salim Makarem had for nature was inherited by his son, Riad, whose name coincidentally means “Green Meadows”. This deep connection with nature continued to be a source of great inspiration to both Layal and Shereen throughout their upbringing up until now when they decided through The Echoing Green collection to pay homage to Mother Nature and all her friends.
